MONGOLIAN SOVIET MOSAIC

It suddenly appeared on the wall of an anonymous socialist apartment in a peaceful residential area located in the southern part of Ulaanbaatar. At the center of the gigantic mosaic wall, it says "Socialist Competition"—a form of competition used in the USSR and its allies to boost productivity and efficiency among workers and organizations. Interesting to see that Mongolia in the 21st century still keeps the mural intact. Workers of the world, unite!

ウランバートルの南側、静かな住宅地にある無個性な社会主義式アパートメントの壁面にそれは突然現れた。巨大なモザイク壁画の中央には「社会主義競争」という言葉が入っている。社会主義競争とはソ連およびその衛星国で行われていたコンペティションで、労働者や組織による生産性と効率を向上させるのが目的だった。興味深いことに、モンゴルは21世紀になってもこの壁画をきれいなまま残している。万国の労働者よ、団結せよ!
