ZAISAN HILL

Zaisan Hill, where the Zaisan Memorial stands, is a vantage point with a 360-degree view. Here you can see how the city of Ulaanbaatar merges into the vast Mongolian steppe.

ザイサンメモリアルが建つザイサンヒルは360度のパノラマを楽しめるビューポイントで、ウランバートルの街が広大なモンゴルの大草原に溶けていく感じを見ることができる。

At the foot of the hill there is a T-34 tank monument, which makes a somewhat surreal contrast against the modern commercial complex buildings around it. It is said that this particular Red Army tank took part in the battle of Berlin when Nazi Germany fell.
丘の麓にはT-34戦車の記念碑がある。モダンな複合開発型商業ビルに囲まれた場所で見るその姿は、ちょっとシュールだった。ナチスドイツを倒したベルリンでの戦いに実際に参加していた赤軍の戦車らしい。
