THE MARSHALL GEORGY KONSTANTINOVICH ZHUKOV MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM

I continue to follow the trace of Soviet Mongolia. Georgy Zhukov was a Soviet military commander who led the Soviet Mongolian People's Army in the battle against Japan's Kwantung Army on the border between Mongolia and Manchuria. He later became a Marshal of the Soviet Union during World War II and fought against Nazi Germany until the fall of Berlin. When I entered the museum using the house where Zhukov once lived, I was the only visitor, and the museum staff turned on all the gallery lights just for me.

ソビエトモンゴリアの記憶をたどり続ける。ゲオルギー・ジューコフは、モンゴルと満州国の国境における日本の関東軍との戦いでモンゴル赤軍を指揮したソビエト軍の司令官。第二次大戦期にはソ連邦元帥になり、ベルリンが陥落するまでナチスドイツと戦い続けた。かつてジューコフが住んでいた家を使った博物館を訪れたとき客は僕ひとりで、真っ暗だったギャラリーの照明をスタッフが僕のためだけにすべて点けてくれた。
