RAMBLING ON TANEGASHIMA ISLAND

I landed on Tanegashima with no plan. Then I found out that all the rental cars on the island were sold out today. Wondering what to do, I stopped by a cozy cafe near the ferry port to build a strategy for getting around having a good cup of coffee. 

ノープランで種子島に上陸してみたものの、島のレンタカーは今日すべて売り切れであることが判明。途方に暮れたが、まずはフェリー港の近くにある居心地の良いカフェに立ち寄り、美味いコーヒーを飲みながら島を巡るための戦略を立てる。

Fortunately, there were some public bus services on the island, although the frequency is limited. So I took one of them, changed to another one, and headed south to the town of Nakatane.

幸いなことに、本数はかなり限られているが、この島には公共バス路線があった。そこでまずはそのバスを乗り継いで南下し、中種子という町を目指す。
