SOCIALIST ARCHITECTURE HUNTING IN SARAJEVO: SKENDERIJA

Skenderija is an exhibition and sports facility opened in 1969, which also serves as a music, art, and performance venue. When the city won the 1984 Winter Olympics, the facility was expanded to include an ice sports center. It seems that some part of this place has been long abandoned since the Bosnian War, and unfortunately it looks like an Olympic venue in the dystopian world, especially in the rain. I hope it will see better days in the future.

スケンデリヤは1969年にオープンした展示場＆スポーツ施設で、音楽、アート、パフォーマンスのためのホールも持っている。サラエヴォが1984年の冬季オリンピックを勝ち取ると、アイススポーツの競技場を組み込めるように拡張された。施設の一部はボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ紛争のあとずっと放置されている感じで、とりわけ雨の中ではディストピアに作られたオリンピック会場のように見えてしまう。将来きれいにしてもらえると良いのだが。
