SOCIALIST ARCHITECTURE HUNTING IN SARAJEVO: BHRT BUILDING

I continue my socialist architecture hunting in Sarajevo. This dignified brutalist building is the headquarters of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Radio Television. It was completed in time for the 1984 Winter Olympics. During the Siege of Sarajevo, the station with a robust concrete building became a vital infrastructure for foreign journalists. And it is easy to imagine that it was an obvious target for artillery attacks by Bosnian Serb forces.
