Traveling to Bologna from Stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella, which has a fabulous Italian modernist station building from the Mussolini era and fabulous fonts.

Killing time in Trenitalia's Freccia Lounge. A good thing about major train stations in Europe is that they usually have an upper class lounge inside the terminal. JR East recently opened a similar one in Tokyo Station, and I hope they will expand it to stations like Kanazawa and Sendai.
