I was thinking that the
China Airlines flight to Taipei I took before COVID could be the last 747-400 flight of my life. But I was wrong. Bacause Asiana suddenly announced they were bringing HL7428, their last remaining passenger 747-400, to the Narita-Incheon route, and I decided to make a hasty 2-day trip to Incheon just to fly with it. I never had a trip just to ride a particular airplane model, however, if I can take the 744 now, I can easily break the norm. For the outbound flight from Narita, I was lucky enough to get a seat in the iconic front section on the main deck. These seats used to be sold as First Class but are now part of Business Class. ASIANA B747-400 NRT-ICN. The 804th flight in my lifetime.
コロナの前に乗ったチャイナエアラインの台北行きが人生最後の747-400だとずっと思っていた。でもそうはならなかった。というのも、突然アシアナが自社最後の旅客型747-400であるHL7428を成田ーインチョン線に持ってくると発表したので、それに乗るためだけに1泊2日で慌ただしくインチョンへ行くことにしたから。今までは特定の機種への搭乗のみを目的にした旅は決してしなかったが、この時代に744で飛べるなら話は別。成田発の往路では、幸運なことにアイコニックなメインデッキ最前部にあるシートを確保できた。ここは以前ファーストクラスとして売られていたのだが、今はビジネスクラスの一部になっている。アシアナ B747-400 NRT-ICN。生涯804フライト目。
