TRAINS AROUND THE GREATER NAGOYA AREA: YOKKAICHI ASUNAROU RAILWAY HACHIOUJI LINE
My train journey continues to one of the rare narrow gauge railroads in Japan. Both the Hachiouji Line and the Utsube Line of the Yokkaichi Asunarou Railway have 762 mm tracks, which is almost half the size of the 1520 mm tracks in Russia. The first train I took at Yokkaichi Station ran directly into the branch-like Hachiouji Line. Although it is called the Hachiouji Line, its Ise Hachiouji terminal was discontinued in 1976 and the current terminal is NIshihino Station. The track is almost the same width as the one of the Yerevan Children's Railway, but this is a serious regional rail service.
