HOTEL OKURA KYOTO OKAZAKI BETTEI

Checked into the newer version of the Okura in Kyoto. I felt they squeezed the building into a small lot facing a wide street. It's a classy hotel, but unfortunately, the overall experience they deliver, including the quality of the room, can't compete with those of the hotels in Kyoto by the top global players, such as Park Hyatt, Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Suiran, and The Mitsui. A bit disappointing as a long-time fan of the Okura brand.

京都にあるオークラの新しいほうにチェックイン。ここは広い通りに面した狭い土地に、建物を無理やり詰め込んだ感じがするホテルだった。品は良いものの、部屋の質感を含む全体的なエクスペリエンスが、トップグローバルプレイヤーたちが京都で展開するパークハイアット、フォーシーズンズ、リッツ・カールトン、翠嵐、The Mitsuiといったホテルにかなわない。長年のオークラファンとしてちょっと残念。
