Decades before Apple created its
donut in California, the Japanese architectural giant Togo Murano built the original spaceship right next to the
Kyoto International Conference Center. It was originally inaugurated as the Kyoto Takaragaike Prince Hotel and is currently branded as The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike, a part of
Marriott's Autograph Collection Hotels. The donut hole is much smaller than the one at Apple Park, but still refreshing. Today I only have a cup of tea here admiring Mr. Murano's masterpiece.

ドーナツを建てる何十年も前に、偉大な日本の建築家である村野藤吾氏が、
国立京都国際会館の真隣りに元祖スペースシップを作っていた。ここは京都宝ヶ池プリンスホテルとしてオープンし、現在はザ・プリンス 京都宝ヶ池という名前で
マリオットのオートグラフコレクションに属している。ドーナツの穴はApple Parkと比べるとはるかに小さいが、なかなか清々しい空間だった。今日は村野氏の傑作を鑑賞しながら、お茶だけいただく。
