VILA BLED: SOCIALIST MURAL

I found this by coincidence in the hotel and it took my breath away. The mural in the style of socialist realism by Slavko Pengov depicts the history of the Slovenian nation to the period after the Second World War. It is said to have been commissioned by Tito. The unusual feature of a resort hotel carries a memory of Yugoslavia and the time when the hotel was the summer residence of its president.

ホテルの中で偶然これを見つけて息をのんだ。スラヴコ・ペンゴフによるこの壁画は、第二次大戦後までのスロベニアの歴史を社会主義リアリズムの様式で描いている。発注したのはチトー本人だったらしい。ヴィラ・ブレッドがチトーの別荘だったユーゴスラビア時代の記憶がここに刻まれていた。リゾートホテルの装飾としてはめちゃくちゃユニーク。

This meeting room doesn't also look like the one for a hotel, but for a government facility.
こちらの会議室もホテルのものというよりは、政府施設のものに見える。
