A MEDIEVAL CASTLE AND A GLASS BOX

The castle in an European medieval city is usually on a hill, and it is the best place to understand the geographical characteristic of the city. And it's ideal if it has my favorite way to get there— a funicular. Here in Ljubljana, the castle hill is equipped with an ultra-modern funicular whose car is a glass box. It's more like an inclined elevator than a cable car.

ヨーロッパの中世都市の城は丘の上にあることが多く、街の地理的な全体像を把握するのに最良の場所になる。そしてフニクラ好きとしては、丘にフニクラがついていると理想的。ここリュブリャナではガラスの箱が上下する、ウルトラモダンなものが用意されていた。ケーブルカーというよりは斜行エレベーターに近い。
