Visited Funamachi Station—a tiny unmanned rail station of JR Central in Toyohashi City. The station is unique because both rail tracks are shared by JR and the Aichi-based private rail operator Nagoya Railroad a.k.a. Meitetsu. So this part of the rail route is somewhat similar to the
open-access rail operation which is now common in UK and Europe. However, Funamachi Station and the neighboring Shimoji Station serve only a limited number of JR trains. The Meitetsu trains skip them at full speed.

上下分離＆オープンアクセス型の鉄道運行の雰囲気がある。とはいえ、船町駅とお隣の下地駅に停車するのはごく一部のJR列車のみ。名鉄の列車はフルスピードで通過していってしまう。
