HIGASHIYAMA NISEKO VILLAGE, A RITZ-CARLTON RESERVE PART2

The room is comfy. The staff is hospitable. The greenery around the hotel is refreshing. However, this place is missing some Ritz-Carlton-ness. The hotel building looks like an Aloft hotel that couldn't afford neon lights. And the overall hardware lacks a grandeur feel and is not as glamorous as other RC properties. Because the hotel is located inside the resort area which is shared by other hotels such as a Hilton, it doesn't feel exclusive, either.

部屋は快適で、スタッフはホスピタリティがある。周囲のグリーンも魅力的。でもここはなんだかリッツ・カールトンらしさがない。建物はネオンライトをつける予算がなかったアロフトみたいだし、ハードウェア全体にほかのRCのような、どっしりとしたグラマラスな感じがない。しかもヒルトンをはじめとする別のホテルと共有されたリゾートエリアの中にあるので、エクスルーシブな感じもしない。

Now I know the reason. The lion is not here.
