FOUR SEASONS HOTEL KYOTO: THE POND

While every high-end hotel in Tokyo is located inside a cookie-cutter glass tower (except New Otani and Chinzanso), each upscale hotel in Kyoto has a unique character. Say, The Ritz-Carlton has a machiya-like long thin building. The Mitsui has a large water feature. Aman has mountains. Suiran has Enmeikaku and Hasshoken. Park Hyatt has a property that blends into the Ninenzaka area. And Hoshinoya has the boat check-in. For the Four Seasons, it's definitely this pond.
