YAMANAKA PORTAL

The town of Yamanaka—it literally means "in the mountains" —has slightly evolved since the last time I came here, adding a wonderful new cafe Yamanaka Portal. Their signature black bean paste and butter cake is quite irresistible, and the logo, which looks like paying homage to an art deco building next door, is lovely.

魅力的な新しいカフェが登場し、文字通り山の中にある山中の街が前回来たときから少しだけ進化していた。店の名前は山中ポータル。名物のあんバターサンドが素晴らしく、隣のアールデコ建築へのオマージュに見えなくもないロゴも素敵。
