ALONG LAKE BIWA

Traveling up north to Fukui from Kyoto Station on JR West's Thunderbird limited express service operated by the 683 series EMU. Luckily I could get a comfortable solo seat.

683系電車で運行されるJR西日本の特急列車サンダーバードで京都駅から福井に向かって北上する。ラッキーなことに快適なソロシートを確保できた。

Enjoyed a scenic ride on the shore of Lake Biwa. The water is as beautiful as the Okinawan sea, and it was pretty unexpected since we know the lake is neighboring the large metropolitan area of Kyoto.

車窓からは琵琶湖の素晴らしい眺めが楽しめる。湖水はまるで沖縄の海のように美しく、京都大都市圏に隣接する湖とは思えない。
