Starting my vacation at Aman Kyoto—my 7th
Aman. A room on the second floor could be the option, but I went for a ground-floor room that is organically connected with the beautiful forest at Takamine's mountain foot. When I sat on the tatami floor looking outside through the windows, I felt like I was in the room of a traditional Japanese
ryokan with a vast garden. The shadows on the floor drawn by the lights through the leaves were impressive.

アマンになるアマン京都でバケーションを始める。2階の部屋も選べるが、鷹峯の山麓に広がる美しい森との連続性が魅力的な1階の部屋にしてみた。畳の上に座って窓の外を眺めると、まるで大きな庭を持った日本旅館の部屋にいるような感じになる。樹々の葉の間を抜けてきた光が床に描く影がとても良い。
