ENODEN IN KYOTO
Taking a short Randen tram ride from Ninna-Ji to the Kitanohakubaicho terminal. I found the livery of the tramcar was somewhat familiar. It was no wonder. Randen painted this particular car in the color of the Enoshima Electric Railway car to symbolize the partnership with the railway based in another old capital—Kamakura. In ancient Japan, Kamakura had become the nation's capital after Kyoto. It's interesting to see that the relationship between two cities started in the 12th-century lives on as a color scheme of a modern tram car.
