CHOSHI ELECTRIC RAILWAY PART5

I paid a courtesy visit to Nakanocho Station where the Choshi Electric Railway has its headquarters and rail yard. 

銚子電気鉄道の本社と車両基地がある仲ノ町駅を表敬訪問。

Behind the 3000 series EMU (another ex-Iyo and Keio cars), I found the Deha 1000 series EMU which was converted from the Eidan 2000 series once used for Tokyo's subway routes such as Ginza and Marunouchi Lines. It wears the retro Marunouchi Line livery. This station is like a small rail museum.

3000形電車（こちらも元京王＆伊予鉄）の後ろに、営団2000形が種車のデハ1000形がいた。営団時代は銀座線や丸の内線といった東京の地下鉄路線で走っていた電車で、ここでも丸の内線のレトロカラーをまとっている。この駅はちょっとした鉄道博物館のよう。
