Fufu Resort, run by Kato Pleasure Group and Hulic, offers a hybrid experience that combines the hardware you expect at a resort hotel with a set of full course dinner and breakfast commonly served at a traditional Japanese inn. Fufu is currently expanding its footprint rapidly in Japan and today I checked into one of them near Mount Fuji. The room I got is a corner suite that comes with a postcard-esque view of Fuji, a private open-air hot spring tub, and a terrace with a ventless fireplace.

リゾート「ふふ」は、リゾートホテルのハードウェアと伝統的日本旅館でおなじみの一泊二食を組み合わせたハイブリット型。いま日本各地で新しい「ふふ」が立て続けに生まれているが、今日はその中の一つ、富士山のそばにある「ふふ 河口湖」にチェックインした。もらった部屋は絵葉書のような富士のビューが楽しめるコーナースイートで、プライベート温泉露天風呂と、ヴェントフリーの暖炉が置かれたバルコニーがついている。
