YAKUMO

Today I'm taking a rail trip to Shikoku Island from Kurashiki. The first leg is JR West's limited express service Yakumo to Okayama Station. The train is operated by the classic JNR-built 381 series tilting EMU which still keeps the flavor of the limited express train in the 70-80s. I love its train name took from a mythical story about the region the train comes from.
今日は倉敷から四国へ列車で出かける。第1レグはJR西日本の特急やくもで岡山へ。この列車はクラシックな国鉄時代の振子式381系電車で運行されていて、70-80年代の特急のテイストがいい感じで残っている。列車の起点になる地域の神話をもとにした列車名も素敵。

I booked a seat in Green Car class on the last car of the train. It was a 10-min ride to Okayama—too short to fully enjoy the KuRo 380 car that was modified to have a panoramic cockpit.
最後尾にあるグリーン車の席を確保。とはいえ岡山までは10分程度なので、改造によってパノラミックな運転台を持ったクロ380を楽しむには短すぎる。
