MIZUSHIMA RINKAI RAILWAY PART1

I had a quick rail trip from Kurashiki on Mizushima Rinkai Railway's single-track main line. The car I rode was the MRT300 series DMU. This line was originally developed as an industrial railway for Mitsubishi's military airplane factory in Mizushima during WW II and currently serves as a commuter rail line for the residents and workers around Kurashiki and Mizushima areas. It's not a scenic route but still enjoyable.
倉敷から単線の水島臨海鉄道水島本線に乗って、短い鉄道の旅へ出かける。乗った車両はMRT300形気動車。この路線はもともと水島にある三菱の航空機工場用の軍需鉄道として戦時中に敷設され、今では倉敷・水島エリアの通勤通学路線として使われている。決して景色がいい路線ではないが、なかなか楽しい。
