JR NIKKO STATION AND SHIKI-SHIMA

When compared with Tobu Nikko Station, JR's Nikko Station looks like an underdog. However, its station building built in 1912 is way more beautiful than its counterpart.東武日光駅と比べると、JRの日光駅は日陰者に見える。でも1912年に作られたその駅舎は、東武のものとは比べ物にならないほど美しい。

JR East's luxury excursion train "Shiki-Shima" using the E001 series EDC electric/diesel hybrid cars was visiting Nikko Station. I want to try it, but unfortunately, they operate the train only for cruise-like all-inclusive tours, which are not my kind of travel. Who wants to take a train that comes back to the place where you started the journey?
日光駅には、EDCと呼ばれる電気とディーゼルのハイブリッド車両であるE001系を使ったJR東日本のラグジュアリーツアー列車「四季島」がいた。乗ってはみたいが、残念ながらこの列車は僕の好みではないクルーズシップのようなオールインクルーシブツアーでしか利用することができない。旅を始めた場所にまた帰ってくる列車など、どこが魅力的なんだろう？
