I originally booked a Haneda flight operated by the
777-200 that has the
Kosmo Sleeper seats, but had to change to an earlier flight using the 777-300. Korean's non-ER 773 has first class seats which is almost identical to its business class seats, and the difference is just an ottoman, a seat pad, a slightly bigger IFE screen, and more generous legroom. It's still comfortable, but I really don't understand why Korean made such a bad decision. Weirdly, KE's first and business class hard products are also identical on their A330s and even the latest 787-9s. I think they need to convert these planes to 2-class, while keeping "real first class" on the
777-200,
777-300ER,
747, and
A380.

777-200で運航される羽田便を予約していたが、事情で777-300を使っている早めの便で帰ることになった。コリアンのERではない773のファーストクラスシートはビジネスクラスのものとほぼ同一で、違いはオットマンとシートパッドがついていて、IFEスクリーンがわずかに大きく、レッグルームが広めなだけ。もちろん快適ではあるが、コリアンが何でこんな間違った判断を下したのか理解できない。奇妙なことに、コリアンではA330でも、そして最新の787-9でも、ファーストとビジネスのハードプロダクトが同じ。

A380の「ホントのファースト」はそのままで、これらの機材は2クラスにしたら良いのに。
On the other hand, this is KE's good decision. They still operate the
passenger -400 and I could see one of them through my cabin window. KOREAN AIR B777-300 GMP-HND. The 730th flight in my lifetime.
一方、こちらは良い判断。KEはいまだに
旅客用-400の運航を続けている。そのうちの一機をキャビンの窓越しに見かけることができた。コリアンエア B777-300 GMP-HND。生涯730フライト目。
