THE PRINCE GALLERY TOKYO KIOICHO PART1

Because my bedroom at home is under renovation, this hotel becomes my temporary home for the next few days. They gave me a cozy and functional corner room which offers a dazzling night view of Tokyo's city center. There used to be Akasaka Prince Hotel a.k.a. Aka-Pri (Its most recent name was Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka)—a part of the Prince Hotels which was not necessarily enjoying a good reputation in the days before its reorganization in the mid 00s— at this location. A few years ago, they completely reconstructed the building and the hotel was reborn as The Prince Gallery, a new Starwood property under the Prince's management. This is the closest Starwood hotel to my home and I'm glad it's the first Luxury Collection branded hotel in Tokyo.

自宅の寝室が改装中なので、数日の間、このホテルが仮の自宅になる。もらったのは居心地の良い機能的なコーナールームで、窓の外に広がる都心の夜景が素晴らしい。かつてこの場所には、00年代半ばの事業再編までは必ずしも評判が良かったとはいえないプリンスホテルズに属する赤坂プリンスホテルa.k.a.赤プリ（最後の名前はグランドプリンスホテル赤坂）が建っていた。でも数年前にビルが完全に建て替えられ、ホテルもプリンスの運営のまま、スターウッド系列のプリンスギャラリーとして新しく生まれ変わった。ここは僕の家に一番近いスターウッドだが、それが東京初のラグジュアリーコレクションブランドであるのは嬉しい。
