BRUTALIST IN PODGORICA

Made a stopover at Podgorica, the capital and largest city of Montenegro, and had a lunch at Hotel Podgorica on the riverbank of Morača River. The unique Brutalist building of this hotel was designed by the first female Montenegrin architect Svetlana Kana Radević in the 60s. Radević studied in Yugoslavia, the US, and later Japan. It is said that her studies in Japan strongly influenced her work. I wish I could stay here.
モンテネグロの首都で最大の都市、ポドゴリツァに立ち寄り、モラチャ川の川岸に建つホテルポドゴリツァでランチをとることにした。このホテルのユニークな建物は、モンテネグロ初の女性建築家であるスヴェトラーナ・カナ・ラデヴィッチが60年代に手がけたもので、ブルータリズム様式で設計されている。ラデヴィッチはユーゴとアメリカに続いて日本でも学び、日本での研究は彼女の作品に大きな影響を与えたらしい。ここに泊まることができたらよかったのだが。
