FLYING TO AN ANCIENT FORTRESS

Tbilisi has not only a funicular but also an aerial tramway which travels over church roofs. When it comes to an aerial tramway over a big city, I immediately remember the one in Barcelona. But here you don't have to queue up to ride. 

トビリシにはフニクラだけでなく、教会の屋根の上を飛んでいくロープウェイもある。大きな街のロープウェイといえばすぐにバルセロナのやつを思い出すが、この街では乗る時に列を作る必要がない。

A gondola made by Leitner, an Italian company, took me to Narikara fortress, an ancient fortress established in the 4th century. And, of course, it has a church.

イタリアのライトナー社製のゴンドラが到着したのは、4世紀に造られたナリカラ要塞という古代の要塞。当然ここにも教会がある。
