Ishinomaki School is a new program launched by
Ishinomaki 2.0 for future generations in Ishinomaki. In this series of workshops held at
IRORI Ishinomaki, high school students will work on a real-life project to address the challenge in their community. 5 young people from organizations supporting the community, fishery industry, and
ITNAV, along with the Ishinomaki 2.0 team, sit next to the students as tutors to help them.
The workshop is designed to let participants experience researches, brainstorming, discussions, presentations, and executions in a practical way simulating the method which marketing professionals actually use. As one of organizers, I gave them a keynote presentation to kick off the project and will continue to support the program. The discussion at the workshop became very vibrant and I was overwhelmed by the potential these young Ishinomakians have. I'm sure this city will soon be a birthplace of many game changers, innovators, and rebels who will make positive changes in the community, in Japan, and in the world.

いしのまき学校は、石巻の次の世代のために
石巻2.0が始めた新しいプログラム。
IRORI石巻で開かれるこの連続ワークショップでは、コミュニティが持つ課題に取り組むため、高校生が自分たちでリアルなプロジェクトを進めて行く。コミュニティを支援している団体、水産業、そして
イトナブから集まった5人の若手メンバーもチューター役として参加し、石巻2.0チームと共に高校生たちをそばでサポートする。
ワークショップはマーケティングのプロが実際に使っている手法をモデルにしながら、参加者が実践的なリサーチ、ブレインストーミング、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーション、エグゼキューションを体験できるように組み立てられた。僕は主催者側の一人として、プロジェクトを開始させるためのキーノートプレゼンテーションを担当。今後もプログラムへのサポートを続けさせてもらう。ワークショップでの議論はとても活発で、石巻の若い世代が持つ潜在能力にはただただ圧倒された。この街からはやがて、コミュニティや、日本や、世界にポジティブな変化をもたらす、数多くのゲームチェンジャー、変革者、反逆者たちが現れてくるだろう。
