WELCOME BACK, 747

I always love the view from the upper deck. Delta brought the Boeing 747 "the Queen of the Skies" back on the Narita-Seattle route for the first time since Northwest era.
アッパーデッキからの眺めは、いつだって最高。デルタはノースウエスト時代以来初めて、成田ーシアトル線に空の女王、ボーイング747を復活させた。

Recently the cabin was completely renovated and BusinessElite cabin got window-facing flat-bed seats with a herringbone layout which offer perfect privacy. They are more comfortable than 777's herringbone and what's even better is that the upper deck has only 14 seats (I remember, when Northwest had International First Class service, they had 12 seats in the half-size upper deck of the 747-200). In terms of hardware, I think this upper deck is the first business class of US-based airline which surpassed Upper Class of Virgin Atlantic.

キャビンは最近改修されたばかり。ビジネスエリートのキャビンは、完璧なプライバシーがある、窓を向いたヘリンボーンレイアウトのフラットベッドシートになった。777のヘリンボーンよりも一段と快適で、さらに素晴らしいことにアッパーデッキは14席のみ（ノースウエストが国際線ファーストクラスサービスを持っていた時代、サイズが半分の747-200のアッパーデッキに載せていたのは確か12席だった）。ハードウェアの点から見れば、このアッパーデッキはヴァージンアトランティックのアッパークラスを超えた初めてのアメリカ系エアラインのビジネスクラスだと思う。

This June, Delta introduced Westin's Heavenly In-Flight bedding (pillow and comforter), designed and manufactured exclusively for Delta. I was delighted because I'm sleeping on a Heavenly Bed every night at home. Delta B747-400 NRT-SEA. The 568th flight in my lifetime.
6月からウェスティンがデルタのためだけにデザイン、製造したヘブンリーベッディング（枕と掛け布団）が導入された。自宅ではいつもヘブンリーベッドで寝ているので、なんだか嬉しい。デルタ B747-400 NRT-SEA。生涯568フライト目。
