SONS OF NIPPON-GO

The "Nippon-Go” Exhibition also has photos of planes that used to belong to the aviation department of Mainichi Newspapers. This is a Mitsubishi MU-2B turboprop named "New Nippon", a son of Nippon-Go that inherits genes of the Mitsubishi planes.

「ニッポン号展」にはかつて毎日新聞社航空部に所属した航空機の写真も展示してある。こちらは三菱航空機の遺伝子を受け継ぐ「ニッポン号」の息子、三菱MU-2Bターボプロップ「新ニッポン」。

This Piper was named "Gyosei (Dawn Star)". Coincidentally, it has the same name as the fictional newspaper company based on The Mainichi Newspaper in "Tsubasa wo kudasai~Freedom in the Sky"—Maha Harada's novel based on the Nippon-Go history.

このパイパーの名前は「暁星」。偶然にも「ニッポン号」をテーマにした原田マハさんの小説「翼をください~Freedom in the sky」に登場する、毎日新聞社をモデルにした架空の新聞社と同じ名前。
