I was not expecting that Sarajevo has such an ultra-modern high-rise hotel that is part of
a global hotel chain. The hotel is the Swissotel and it is my base for exploring the Bosnian capital this time. They gave me a fabulous corner suite overlooking the central part of downtown and
the legendary former Holiday Inn Hotel (now
Hotel Holiday). This Swissotel itself is a testimony that almost 30 years have passed since the end of the horriffic Bosnian War.
サラエヴォに、
グローバルホテルチェーンに属する、ここまでウルトラモダンな高層ホテルがあるなんて思ってもいなかった。今回のサラエヴォ訪問での基地にしたのはそのスイソテルで、ダウンタウンの中心部と
伝説的な旧ホリデイ・インホテル（現在は
ホテルホリデー）を見下ろす、素晴らしいコーナースイートをもらうことができた。このホテルの存在自体が、凄惨なボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ紛争の終焉からもう30年近くたったことを物語っている。
