JR Kyusyu runs a variety of exotic trains. One of them is the limited express service Sonic operated by the 883 series EMU. The train was designed by the industrial designer Eiji Mitooka, a railroad design guru who worked on a lot of JR Kyushu trains as well as station buildings such as Fujikyuko's
Shimoyoshida Station. The Green Car has a fun panoramic lounge, the seat headrest looks like Mickey Mouse. Today I'm taking this train from Hakata Station to Beppu in Oita Prefecture.

下吉田駅など数多くの駅舎を手がけてきた。グリーン車には楽しいパノラミックラウンジがついていて、シートのヘッドレストはミッキーマウス風味。今日はこの列車で博多駅から大分県の別府まで移動する。
