Making one more stopover on Fujikyuko Otsuki Line. Shimoyoshida Station has a quite impressive station building designed by the industrial designer Eiji Mitooka most known for the design of
the 800 series Shinkansen train and other JR Kyushu trains. Its high-ceilinged waiting hall has a feel of an old station in Europe and the exterior with vertical facade windows reminds me of
the station building of Deutsche Bahn's Dessau Hauptbahnhof.

ドイチェ・バーンのデッサウ中央駅の駅舎を思い出させる。
