THE CITY OF KIRYU AND JOMO ELECTRIC RAILWAY

I tried to find a place for a coffee in front of Kiryu Station, but failed.

桐生の駅前でコーヒーを飲める場所を探したが、見つからなかったので・・・

So I walked to Nishi Kiryu Station of Jomo Electric Railway to catch a train that will take me back to Akagi Station of Tobu Railway.

東武の赤城駅まで戻れる電車に乗ろうと、上毛電気鉄道の西桐生駅まで歩いて行ったら・・・

Then I reunited with familiar faces. These EMUs operated by Jomo Electric Railway are the ex-Keio 3000 series that was used on the Inokashira Line. And they are the ones which keep the original front face design. I remember I rode them frequently when I was a high-school and university student.

なんとも懐かしい顔と再会した。上毛電鉄が走らせている電車は旧京王3000系。つまり井の頭線用の車両。しかも前面のデザインがオリジナルのバージョン。高校や大学の頃はこれによく乗った。
